The West Alabama Food Bank (WAFB) is a 501 (c)(3)non-profit organization that solicits, collects, and distributes surplus food to over seventy member agencies in nine west Alabama counties.
Food is distributed free by participating agencies to the hungry, elderly and children through emergency food boxes or on-site meal programs.
The WAFB offers individuals and businesses an alternative to throwing away edible but unusable food items.
The WAFB also distributes USDA commodities through the federal TEFAP program sponsored by USDA.
The WAFB distributed 1 million pounds of food in 1999.

Im out of work and having a hard time finding a job i have ny mother myself abd my girlfriend to take care of i also have my daughter every other weekend abd im struggling to provide for the 4 of us.
