The people here are kind, reliable in volunteering, remember who you are. For Vegans/vegetarians, they give an extra bag of fresh fruits and/or veggies to make up for not receiving meat, and will actually try to keep products with meat in it, out. Sometimes they include important necessities like a good brand of toothpaste (Tom’s of Maine). The food is pretty good, and will last my family of four (me and 3 children) at least a week, sometimes a bit more! It has been a real blessing for us at the end of the month as a single mom who is seeking to build a business from nothing. Would appreciate less sugary items (am very into health and fitness) but my kids enjoy it as I typically never buy these and the kids like it when I make them cakes or cookies from it. Love that they include whole bean coffee: helps me get energy in the morning and push through in my goals. My goal is to create a Vegan food pantry and soup kitchen in the future, after making a Vegan salad buffet (Freebirds + Salata style serving) here in Gainesville, TX after my email marketing business takes off, to pay it forward. I will always appreciate and never forget the kindness of the volunteers and those who partner with and donate to them, and/or grow fresh fruits & veggies for the community. It is heart like this that makes the world go round, and Gainesville, TX in particular, very special.
