Nutritional Food Monthly;

Broward's Pantry is a "one-stop shop" for seniors (60+) who struggle to live on low-income and grandparents raising their grandchildren.


Each of our clients meets with our Director of Member Services regularly to review their individual needs and determine how The Pantry of Broward can best help them.Every month, The Pantry of Broward offer its 425 customers with a 55-pound box of nutritional foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables and bread.According to USDA calculations, this food is enough to prepare at least 46 meals every month - more than half of the 90 recommended meals per month for each client .In order to provide further assistance in the fight against hunger, The Pantry serves as a community partner for the Department of Children and Families and can help qualified client apply for food stamp benefits.We estimate that this food helps 1,000 people each month, including 165 grandchildren.
