Shepherd Kitchen & Thrift Of White Mtns

1997 with the purpose of providing food to the Hungry of the White Mountains.
Many of their clients live below poverty level.
They help them with basic necessities.
Donations of cash & merchandise & food by retailers & individuals is the main source of funding for the food program.
The Thrift store department of operations also provides funding and gives clothing, shoes, coats, etc to those in need.

Food Assistance is provided to people based on need.
They follow the Poverty Guidelines set by the Federal Government.

The amount of assistance is based on number in household and what the need is.
Bring with you, verification of household size and income for the last 30 days.
Also bring I.D. showing current address.

Thrift Store Is Open Monday thru' Friday 10:00 A.M. till 4:00 P.M.

Both are closed on Major Holidays

Food Boxes are provided every 4 weeks, or as needed.


12:00 P.M. - 3:30 P.M. Monday through Thursday

The lady that was working there today refused to allow me and my children to get a food box she said that she refused to give food to anybody from Showlow after I stood in line and waited it is humiliating for one to have to ask for help but for when somebody turns you away
