The Salvation Army in Pontiac offers several free food programs to help those in need.
Community Lunch Program - Serves lunch on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:00pm to 1:30pm and after church on Sundays. No reservation is necessary and no documentation is required to receive a meal.
Focus Hope - Monthly distribution of non-perishable food boxes for eligible seniors. For eligibility requirements and to register, visit the front office or contact Carlton.Elam@usc.salvationarmy.org.
Emergency Food Pantry - Provides dried and canned food items, frozen meats and some hygiene supplies for qualified residents every 90 days. Pantry is available by appointment only. For eligibility requirements and to make an appointment, call the office or email Carlton.Elam@usc.salvationarmy.org.
Fresh Food Pantry - Distributes fresh food items from Forgotten Harvest and Gleaners on a first-come, first-serve basis. No documentation is required.
