My husband and I have been out of work since the start of the pandemic. We had some savings but have been going through it a few months ago when we had heard of the first food boxes in Winter Park we were in line for over 3 hours and by the time we got close were turned away and told it was all given out. This has happened to us twice. Most recently we just found out about several Thanksgiving food boxes on the 21st too late again. We don't seem to know where to find out about the information or go and wait in line to never get anything. We are not starving or anything but things are very tight and very stressed. So very frustrating to see on the news about al the places that gave away food boxes after the fact. Is there anyway to get any assistance at all? We would be grateful for anything at this point but any type of fresh fruits or vegetables would be greatly appreciated.
